VAHY co-founders, Anna and Kate are lifelong friends who both care deeply about clean and conscious living, public health, animal rights and preserving our beautiful planet.
After discovering a labelling loophole that enables fragrance brands in Australia and many other countries to hide toxic chemicals in their products they embarked on a journey to create VAHY.

All of our scents are classified as long lasting (being 6 hours plus wear time). We put a lot of testing and thought into our formulations to ensure they last a long time.

While our range can be worn by anyone regardless of gender, our more typically masculine scents are Tarkine (woods), Isle of Blanc (marine citrus) and Luna (spicey).

No we do not. We are proudly petrochemical synthetic free. We truly believe that synthetics that do not biodegrade over time should not be used in personal care products (especially those that bioaccumulate like synthetic musk). They harm the environment and can harm your health also.

Frustratingly in the perfume industry this term is often used on products that are not natural. We hold ourselves more accountable. For us, 'natural' means 100% natural plant-based ingredients in accordance with international standard ISO 9235. This is the highest standard in natural ingredients. We do not use any petrochemical synthetics at all in our perfumes or greenwashing terms like 'nature identical' or 'safe synthetics'.

Synthetic fragrance is often made from petroleum and specifically designed not to biodegrade over time. This causes significant damage to the environment and your body. The Environmental Working Group found that on average there are 14 'ingredients of concern' (carcinogens, hormone disrupters, etc) in mass made fragrance. See the full study here.
